San Roque Pilates takes a contemporary approach to our Pilates instruction, but maintains the traditional standards of precision and attention to quality developed by Joseph Pilates.  Our  Contemporary Pilates training is based on the work of Mr. Pilates but has been modernized by adjusting the exercises to fit with modern research and has a heavy influence from physical therapy and bio-mechanics. Many exercises remain the same, but many new exercises have been added, or variations have been added allowing for injury rehabilitation and creativity by the instructor.

Pilates for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation


San Roque Pilates specializes in Rehabilitative Pilates with instructors certified to work with individuals recovering from and/or wanting to rebuild from injury, illness, pregnancy and surgeries. Pilates is a gentle restorative exercise that is suited for most people as they recover and work to rebuild their bodies. Pilates creates strong muscles and more range of movement. It improves postural problems; increases core strength, stability and peripheral mobility; helps prevent injuries; improves balance, coordination and circulation; heightens body awareness; and is low-impact. There is a growing trend toward partnerships between Pilates experts and rehabilitation specialists.

We have found that 1-1 private Stott Pilates lessons from our skilled instructor’s bridges the gap between physical therapy and getting back to your normal level of fitness and activities. You will learn proper biomechanics under the watchful eye of your instructor while developing and re-developing strength, agility and balance in your core and limbs.

On your consultation either over the phone or at the office, you will be matched with one of our instructors whose specialties meet your needs. On your first visit, a brief health history, your goals and objectives will be discussed. By the end of the first appointment, we will develop your treatment plan and schedule to help you heal and strengthen.
